Mt Moran - Paddle, Hike, Climb, Summit

After 14+ years of driving east on Main St in Rexburg, ID and seeing Mt Moran staring me down from afar, I got to finally stand on its summit. I was very entertained with the fact that it requires paddling across two lakes, backpacking a short but steep distance, and climbing (roped up) to get to the summit. It’s an involved experience and one to always remember.

Elephants in Thailand

While in Thailand during 2017, we spent a day feeding, bathing, riding, and playing with elephants. It is by far the most unique experience we’ve had thus far in all our travels.

For the anti-elephant-riding activists, we hear you. Before this trip, we consumed a lot of your information about how riding elephants has its downsides for the elephants. Because of your love for the elephants, you helped us make wise decisions in making sure we did these things in ethical and humane ways.

Building a Camper Van for a Family

With six kids, my wife and I have proven that you can still go on crazy awesome adventures and leave behind all the messy, complex, and time-consuming logistics that are usually associated with camping as a family.

Our camper van is a simple one but we built it out to safely transport 8 people, comfortably sleep 8 people, and haul all the gear we need for 8 people.

Still Got It After Six Years

6 years ago, I redpointed Route 66, a 5.12a at the Membrane wall in American Fork Canyon, Utah. I remember it being a challenge. This year, we quickly unsent it on my first try. Luckily, I was given some different beta for the roof and I was able to resend it during my second session. This unsend it project is definitely motivating me to keep after it to experience all this progress. It's getting addicting.
